About the Role
International Lift Equipment Ltd (ILE) are expanding and we are looking for a project engineer to manage lift projects within our Machine Romless Lifts (MRL) department.
The primary responsibilities of the role are to plan, produce technical drawings, place orders, resource and manage all the technical activities to ensure project accuracy and quality from conception through to completion.
The role is based in our Leicester office with occasional site visits for surveys and meetings with clients. The project engineer will report into the MRL manager.
Main responsibilities and duties:
- Technical Support to our sales team
- Site surveys
- Production of technical drawings
- Ordering and production planning
- Co-ordinating with manufacturing and logistics
- Project management
- Technical support for site engineers
- Generating operation and maintenance manuals
About You
We are looking for someone who has proven experience in an engineering background, ideally within the lift industry. Experience of AutoCAD is essential.
Qualifications and Skills:
- A-Level C Grade or above in an engineering subject, or equivalent experience
- Microsoft office skills including Excel
- Experience of AutoCAD
- Good time management and communication skills
- SolidWorks (Optional)
- Lift industry experience (optional)

Salary: £21,000 to £25,000
Working as a member of a team your responsibilities would be:
- Use AutoDesk AutoCAD Electrical software
- Produce Electrical Drawings from Predefined templates
- Collate Bill of Materials
- Produce Cable Routings
- Produce Wire labels
- Maintain database for electrical components
Qualifications:
- Role would suit someone with a Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience

Salary: £15,000 to £20,000 depending on experience
Working as a member of a team your responsibilities would be:
- Provide Lift Technical Support via telephone and site attendance 39 hours per week
- Laptop, phone and car provided along with tools and PPE
- Pension scheme
- Holidays: 23 days + bank holidays
- Previous Lift Maintenance experience essential

Candidates would have the minimum:
O.N.C. Mechanical Engineering
Conversant with Solidworks/ AutoCAD

Job Description
Working as a member of a team the work would involve :-
Site surveys of existing lift shafts.
Using Solidworks and with information obtained from the site surveys, the preparation of General
Arrangement and Builders Work Drawing, designed to suit the client's specific requirements.
Using Solidworks, the preparation of manufacturing drawings for the relevant lift equipment parts.
Liasing with clients, consultants, architects and suppliers.
On site lift survey training will be avaliable.
